Happy Twenty-Ooo-Seven..!
Retrospectively, 75% of my ride in '06 has been erm, quite rock-strewn... Much of it came from well, diz plc where I spent more than 40 hrs per workweek... It has been quite testin' enuf 2 make me go off my rocker... But hey, I dun wanna achieve immortality thru my werk... I wanna achieve it thru not dyin', man..! Fortunately, evrytin' else got betta in é laz quarter of é twelvemonth... I am lucky 2 haf a pair of understandin' parents who respect my space... But still, I do not 4get my role as a daugher... É family is é country of é heart, isn't it..? Plus, I am contented 2 still haf my luvin' sweetheart in times of ups & downs... Well honey, in reality, serendipity accounts for 1% of é blessings we receive in life ~ werk & luv... É other 99% is due 2 our efforts, rite..? & my frens, I juz lurve 'em..! They á my estate, my 2nd self & who take me 4 who I am... 2 é soul, there is hardly anytin' more healin' than friendship... As it is, I luv my life... It's how é way I see it, b it bad or gd... Tink positive, it helps, really... Coz, life can only b understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards... It's ur choice 2 choose how 2 live it...

P/S : Dear honey, it'll b our anni once é clock strike 12 midnite... Thks 4 é awesome journey & let's kickstart é new yr wif hope coz hope is only é luv of life & dat's necessary in evry condition...

Stuffed wif smart performers doin' graciously silly werk...& yeah, as usual, we had a fabulous time, wat's wif each's antics & punch-drunk jokes, I'll neva get enuf of 'em..!

INTERNET ACCESS IN SINGAPORE SEVERELY AFFECTED BY TAIWAN QUAKE

SINGAPORE : The earthquake in Taiwan has wrecked havoc online among thousands of internet users in Asia.
Singapore has also been affected - with major online disruptions.
Others in Southeast Asia and Hong Kong were also hit, after the quake damaged several undersea cables around Taiwan.
Service providers say the recovery process will take days, if not weeks.
If you faced difficulty accessing sites especially US-based ones, you were not alone.
Many across Asia faced the same problem too, with a long wait in downloading information from the internet.
The instant messaging service such as MSN Messenger was also down.
The reason - the earthquake off Taiwan on Tuesday night damaged the undersea cables, resulting in slow internet access to some sites.
Taiwan's largest phone company Chung-hwa Telecom said the quake which measured 6.7 on the Richter scale disrupted some 98% of Taiwan's communications capacity with Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Hong Kong.
Due to the high cost of such submarine cables, most countries co-invest in a common communications infrastructure, and this multi-billion-dollar information superhighway has now been damaged.
But service providers say it's not a complete breakdown, it just takes longer as online traffic is diverted to alternative lines.
SingTel, Southeast Asia's largest telco, says its submarine cables linking the US and Europe are not affected.
But it has set up an operations centre to monitor the situation.
"The extent of damage to the cable is extensive. We are clearly taking this on two fronts - we want to restore service on the damaged cable as soon as possible and at the same time, we are working round the clock with our consortium partners to do the traffic diversions. We think there's a good chance we can restore service as soon as possible," says Choo Pee Yin, director of Network Operations at SingTel.
The earthquake was so massive that even SingTel's backup alternative cables were knocked out.
Telephone facilities in Taiwan were also affected, including overseas calls in and out of Taiwan.
For StarHub, two of its 95 channels on its digital cable service were down since the mid-day.
"In terms of the breadth of disruption I think the largest impact was on broadband and surfing of overseas sites. It was multiple cables that were impacted and multiple companies in countries who were affected. In fact, I think pretty much everyone is impacted," says Mike Reynolds, head of Integrated Products & Marketing at StarHub.
"And when all the different cables out in the ocean are impacted, the customers will feel it. So getting them back to normal service in the shortest time is what matters."
Other providers like Pacific Internet say connectivity problems may stay for days or even weeks, while repairs are in progress.
But users can expect big improvements over the next few days.
You can still access websites based locally, like the online government portal, which are not affected as traffic does not have to be routed overseas. - CNA /ls

Eragon...
A pleasant enuf fantastical adventure, but it does feel naggingly derivative...Wat's Up & About...I've been spendin' my wkns wif é bez buddy, werkin' out in é gym & attendin' 2 yoga / pilates / aerobics classes... It's stress-releasin' & makes me feel recharged... There's even kickboxin' & belly dancin'..! Sounds fun ay?!! Well, I do hope I can tone up my physique & maintain my fitness level... It really helps especially 4 a non-veggie eater like me, heh..! É next thing dat has been occupyin' my mind is a trip 2 HKT which will (Insya-Allah) happen in Sep next yr..! Yeah, so much 4 early plannin' but, but, but, wen else can u get a flight 4 as cheap as 2¢..? U tell me... Lately, my head has been swirlin' around wildly... Am expectin' late knock-offs from Jan onwards... All thks 2 é major reshufflin' on our werk processes... I hope I'll pull thru & get it over & done wif... Repeat mantra ~ "focus, focus, focus!!!"
